I'm not looking for the national chains. Just regional and local restaurants. Here's my choices...

King Taco - I don't see the hype, there are way better Mexican restaurants.

Tommy's - yeah, that's right...I said it. That chilli is nasty as hell!

Sizzler's - That place is damn disgusting. Any place where you can get a steak for $5.99 has to be low quality.

I agree w/you on King Taco, Tommy's and Sizzler's. I don't know which Roscoe you go to but I've only been to the ones on Pico and Manchester and no, the chicken is not worth the drama in parking or traffic.

I've got to add M&M to that list because people act like only because it came from a place that had a M on the sign (there used to be an M&N in Gardena that definitely looked like the rats had their own booth), it was down home goodness by default. What a lot of folks don't know is that M&M is a franchise and there was no set recipe so everyone is going to cook differently.

Also gotta add Bertha's Soul Food to your list. I hate Denny's and IHOP is getting to be a close second.

the only one i've seen is off the freeway for hollywood.

i used to go to sizzler's with my bro and grandma when i was wayyyy younger until the one near us burned down lol.

is el pollo loco a national chain? cause i haaaate their food, haha

oh, and astro burger.

their food is disgustinnggggg

plus my dad, who's a cop- now retired because of this, was attacked with a machete there. he can't use his right hand anymore. 0=

well one good place is jim's.

i don't know if it's around you or if you've heard of it, but you can get almost anything there. i love their seasoned fries!

Jerry's Famous Deli.

And you're not alone in wondering why people worship Tommy's. It's OK for hit and run but what they see in it escapes me.

Last time I went to one, Sizzler is the only place which still has a salad bar. Good if you have kids.

Ford's Filling Station - it's overpriced and pretentious.

Father's Office - another pretentious yuppie watering hole. Lucky Baldwin's is much better for tap beer.

Subway. Less meat, less cheese, more bread for less money. What is the point?
