You mentioned cheap, so consider these fast food*/sit down type locations:

Porto's Bakery & Cafe

portosbakery.com

(818) 846-9100 - 3614 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA

They have 2 locations (1 in Glendale & 1 in Burbank)

Excellent cuban sandwiches; coffees, baked goods & pasteries (Try the potato balls & croquettes)

KOO KOO ROO* is good too (like the other answerer mentioned)

IN N OUT BURGERS*.....of course!

This is on the edge of Burbank & North Hollywood:

LA MARIA RESTAURANT

(great authentic Columbian food, inexpensive little local restaurant)

(818) 755-8811

10516 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA

This is nearby Burbank in EAGLE ROCK if you like pizza (this is a cash only location):

CASA BIANCA on Colorado in Eagle Rock

Excellent thin crust pizzas & pastas (An "institution" for the area)

(Go early to avoid loooonnng waits)

Hopes these help you out!

The previous poster is incorrect in that both Mccormick & Schmick Seafood Restaurant and Mortons Steakhouse are very expensive restaurants. A tiny place called Taste Chicago (pizza, hot dogs, Chicago beef, etc) is nice and is on Hollywood Way. A finally Italian family style restaurant called Bucco De Pepo is in CityWalk. It is a bit steep for individuals or couples but it is cheap for large families. Koo kOO Roo is cheap and healthy too.

Mccormick & Schmick Seafood Restaurant and Mortons Steak House ... both on Olive ... very nice ... and Bella Vista Restaurant‎ for Italian.
