Burbank has a lot of the typical chain restaurants you see in suburbs (see above email). If that's what you had in mind those are good ideas. If you wanted good food though then here are some ideas:
Try Proseco's on Riverside Drive for yummy Italian. Super friendly service, cozy inside. http://losangeles.citysearch.com/profile/320551/
Or, Bistro Provence on Pass Ave for french/american.
There's a Morton's Steakhouse on Olive & Alameda, which is good for steak/seafood. And, right next door is a new restaurant called Savannah's that has American/southern food. I haven't actually tried that restaurant, but i've been meaning to go. The menu looks good.
If you like burgers, try Islands it's my favorite, there's also a Fudruckers and a Fatburger. Or try Johnny Rockets in the mall for that 50's diner feeling.
Elephant Bar has a variety of food.
BJs and Gordon Biersch are both breweries that also have good food.
If you go out around San Fernando Blvd, you can find a ton of good restaurants.

Check out Marie Calenders.BJ's places like that. Then there is a little place on Bean Vista BLVD just before the freeway call the RAMP. My fave.
